Family Outing @ The Beautiful Tree House

This year 三 舅舅 managed to get a chalet @ the newly revamped/renovated Changi Chalet (The Tree House). The place is super nice, super cosy & we felt like we were in some overseas resort. It was a heart-warming, nice get together with the family and lit'jj enjoy the place so much. Big Thank You to 三 舅舅 for organising this for the family.

Lit'jj 1st Trail Class @ Kindermusik

Since Lit'jj is already 1yr old, we decided to let him go for some classes to learn some stuff instead of wasting his weekend just staying at home and also to see how he socialise with other kids. This is his very 1st trail class at Kindermusik...not exactly fantastic hence I decided not to enrol him after 2 trail lessons. We'll continue to explore other classes available elsewhere and see which is more interesting for him.

Our 1st Holiday Getaway!!

This is our very 1st getaway short break ever since the arrival of Baby Jaden...our annual Bangkok trip (just the 2 of us, without Jaden as he is too young to travel without finishing his basic vaccin yet). Big THANKS to my dear beloved Sista Grace, my bro in law Eric, my 2 beautiful niece & nephew Eunice & Azel.. who volunteered to help us look after Lit'jj during these 5days. Without them, this trip won't be possible !!!! I Love U Guys!!!

Honestly, I do missed lit'jj lotz when we were in Bangkok those few days. I was kinda of worried in the beginning as he is so attached to me especially during bedtime. But when I called home the next afternoon, am relieved to hear that he is having lotz of fun with his 2 cousins and slept thru the nite v well with my sista..phew...god blessed : )

After learning that Lit'jj is coping well at my Sista place than I can reassured and really enjoy myself thoroughly throughtout the trip. This is basically a super relaxing trip for us to recharge ourselves again for Lit'jj. We didn't do much, just eat, sleep, massage, shop alittle (i didn't have the energy to chiong for shopping too)..the best thing we did during this trip was fully utilised the hotel room, TV & bed...sleep, snack & watch drama, mtv..etc etc...soooo..shiock....WE LOVE BANGKOK, THAT'S THE PLACE FOR US!!! The next Bangkok trip , we'll definitely bring LIt'jj along with us : )

Finally reaching his official '1st' actual birthday 09-11-2011. PapaJac & myself specially took leave on this day to bring LIt'jj out to Universal Studio..hmm...actually we didn't really go into UniStudio hahaha...bcos Lit'jj is too young to appreciate any rides and so, we ended up just taking picture outside UniStudio and brought him to look around the casino hotel n shopping mall. And finally had a small celebration for our bday boy at his 姑姑 place in the evening with the family..Happy Blessed Birthday To Our Precious Jaden..We Love U !!!!

Lit'Jaden 12th Month Milestones

Presenting our little Prince Jaden 12 months Milestones...Finally reaching his BIG awesome (1) ONE !!! How should I say...everything seems to happen and pass so quickly. It like I had just given birth to him yesterday and now he is one already. The past 1 year had been an exciting journey for PapaJac and me. There were many lessons we both went thru together to learn how to be a good 爸爸妈妈 to our little prince. It has been tough, tire, stress but worthy bcos he had brought both of us and our family lotz of laughter and love definitely. Happy Birthday to our sweetheart, our 宝贝 - Jaden, 爸爸妈妈 Love You lotza.

Able to stand without support for a longer period

(whenever he managed to stand steadily by himself, he will show off to us by raising and shaking both his hands)

Able to call kor kor and jie jie

Started to cry when I leave home for work

Started on egg, tofu, yogurt, lentiles in his diet

Started with more solid food then blend food

After the long preparation and finally today is the day for PARTY TIME !!! My Big THANKS to our family members who help to make this day happening and fun for our little precious one BIG DAY (Jaden, mummy wanted to tell you that you are so so blessed with all the love surrounding you)

The party suppose to start from 3pm sharp and we were only given access into the playroom to do all the set up at 2.40pm bcos there was another birthday party before ours. So we gotta wait for them to clear off all their stuff before we can start ours. It was kinda of a mad rush but all thanks to my super 快手快脚的 sistaGrace , Stacey and Peter, we managed to finish all the deco before the guest arrived.

And here come the most expensive cake I ever ordered in my life...dang dang dang dang....super like this cake and most of the kids went..wahh wahh wahh..so $$ well spent ...BIG THANK YOU to Aunty Doris for helping us to collect this beautiful cake...kiss kiss from BabyJJ : )))

And the party get started...most guest were very sporting and came dressed in either 'RED' or 'ORANGE' the pooh bear theme colour...kids started going wild in the playroom...they seems to be well self-entertained with lotz of climbing...running...catching...screaming in the room...so conclusion, holding this party outside and not at home is a great idea and decision made : ))Overall, the birthday par-tea time went well and I am so proud of PapaJac and myself for organising this very 1st Birthday party in our life. Though the entire preparation process was very challenging and tiring but we totally enjoyed it so so much. Many thanks for all the guest who came and shared this joy with us and making this 1st birthday bash party for our Lit'precious Jaden an unforgetable ones. Last but not least, not forgetting the gift and angpows from all the aunties & uncle ...This party will not be so this awesome, fun & memorable without you you & you : )))

Jaden 1st Birthday Preparation Final Countdown!!!

And finally the arrival of the deco stuff is here after much waiting and some were hand me down from Aunty Angeline (my customer) who also had a 'pooh' theme party for her son 2yrs back...plus the 2 sets of outfit which I specially ordered for the birthday boy is finally here too...and now we are almost ready for the ParTea session !!!!

Initially, I thought it is a very easy task to get the goodies bag ready but I am totally wrong. This is infact the toughest part of the entire preparation. Seriously don't know what to give to the invited kids bcos of the age ranging from 1yr old to 14yrs old...and bcos this is my 1st time planning a birthday party mainly for kids, plus the fact that I hope to get something useful for the kids and is within my budget range...omg, 我的天啊。。。真的是难倒我了咯。。Finally, after some thoughts, I decided on the following...some Crayola pens, chess game set and junk foodie for the kids...hopefully the kids love it...

Venue booked...and what's next?

The Theme..yes, whiich theme to pick, all cartoons characters seems so cute to me, so which one to choose for our precious'J birthday bash? Total I picked 4 themes (Barney, Mickey, Sesame Street OR Pooh & The Gang)..after much debate, we settled with 'Pooh & The Gang' Theme bcos our 宝贝 only recognise Pooh the bear and mickey mouse so far bcos these are the only 2 soft toys I left in his cot.

And next is the CAKE...of course to save time, I go straight to our resourceful 姨姨Doris and 姨姨Ro to find out more info on this (1st reaction is 'omg' the cake is not cheap and be prepared to pay a min of S$250 on this if you like to have a really nice pretty one that fit into your birthday theme). And finally mamaAde found something very pretty and settled with the most expensive birthday cake I ever ordered in my life so far!!!

Then the food for our guest (which mamaAde think that 1st birthday bash is actually more for the guest and parents, not very much for the birthday gal/boy)..hahaha..so Food is very important to me for our guest. Thanks to 姨姨Joy who highly recommended a caterer who serve really nice hi-tea..so this is settled!!!

Deco ideas makes me headache bcos too many nice things I hope to get but too little time to get all ready by 6Nov and risky as well just incase my overseas spree order don't come on time (although I went ahead to place some to try my luck). And all thanks to 姨姨Ro for the contacts that she gave for ballons bouquet and other stuff which we can purchase locally and price is reasonable too : )

Goodies baggies for the kiddos...again thanks to our most efficient and resourceful hotmamaRo, we settled for some cute designs which fit the theme just right...order placed and simply love the bags. Now I just need to think of what to give the kids..

Guest list - all done and settled..we have a total of 57 guest, so pray hard all can turn up for this special day for Jaden : )

Jaden 1st Birthday Preparation Part 1-Venue?

I always think a baby's first birthday is something special and because as far as my memory can recall, I do not have any birthday celebration in my childhood days at all (am not blaming my parents as they need to feed the 7 of us hence no luxury of birthday bash etc during those days). So since we can afford a humble celebration for Lit'Jaden, we would love to give our precious a memorable 1st birthday bash party when he turns to the BIG 1ONE !

1st - Venue??

held at home or ?? in the end..after much discussion with PapaJac, we decided to hold it outside so that we don't have to clean up the mess after party time. So he started to source for venue and let me decide. We shortlisted 5 choices..Amazonia at Great World City, Polliwogs at East Coast Park, Peekaboo at Kallang Leisure Mall, Atlantis City at Delta Sports Complex or rent a chalet.

Went Amazonia to check it out (fantastic indoor children entertainment centre, kids sure love it but we did not go for it bcos it was a bit off our budget and they do not allow us to cater our own food plus most importantly Jaden don't know how to appreciate this fantastic indoor playroom yet)

Next, down to Polliwogs (nice to have a private room of your own but the playground is outside of the party room and it is hugh hence if we don't get a professional host, it will be hard for us to gather the kids back for cake cutting session and again, they only provide v limited choice of food for our guest and do not allow us to cater as well..so out of my list)

Then come Peekaboo - been there couple of times with nieces & nephew. The playground was fun but the partition to hold the party is way too small to accomodate all our guest and food restricted too..so totally out again...

Chalet? hmm...too much for us to prepare too and we do not want to stay over after the party plus we need to clean up the mess ourselve definitely..so out of my choice.

Conclusion definitely left with my 1 and only choice (The Atlantis City)..best so far. The venue will be blocked exclusively for us on the chosen timing and they allow us to cater our own food...and the place is not excessively hugh, easy for crowd/kids control ..as you can tell, FOOD is my pirority here bcos 1st birthday party is really for parents and their guests, not very much the b'day boy/girl bcos they are too young to understand what's going on. So, we decided to go for this venue.

learnt my lesson..NEVER carry him and pour HOT cooked food at the same time...this is the result of my stupidity and carelessness...mummy regret tilll eternity...so sorry my dear 宝贝 (sad face)

2nd cut hair @ 47th week...our 宝贝好棒哦。。。Lit'Jaden was so brave throughout the whole haircut session..while another baby sitting beside us (i suspect he is about Lit'Jaden age). who cried non-stop throughout. Hehehehe..our LIt'Jaden made MamaAd Soooooo..proud of you...Well Done my 宝贝Jaden!!!

This year is PapaJac 41st Birthday..again, he is v fortunate & blessed to have the full attendance of the family celebrating for him. This time MamaAd gave PapaJac a surprise birthday celebration @ Fish & Co where all the staff gathered together & sang him a cool Birthday song. It sort of caught him in surprise & a little..embrassment..that's our shy PapaJac that we know ..hahaha..but afterall, he was very happy and on the way back to 姑姑place, Pearlyn姐姐, Sherwayne哥哥, Sherlynn姐姐,爷爷 and myself sang PapaJac 3 different version of birthday song (Eng, Chi & Caton) one more time. Although Lit'Jaden doesn't know how to sing those song yet but we can tell that he was very happy and excited too ..Happy Birthday PapaJac with lotz of love from the family (^-^)

Month 10 Milestones : Start to Stand & Call Papa Mama

Before I get into our 宝贝10months milestones, I must admit that bringing another life into this world really put things in perspective for us. Our priorities shifted 180 degrees. We became a better person(i hope so..hahaha). Of course being able to cuddle and snuggle the little wee one and have Lit'Jaden look at me as if I am the greatest thing ever is quite hmmm..very satisfying !!! 宝贝Jaden, Daddy Mummy Love You Loadzzzzzzsssss ....

Chatterbox Baby @ 8th Month

So many milestones, So little time...we're so proud of Lit'Jaden for being able to accomplish the following task by his 8th month...and I didn't know that I'll be so happy or rather my favourite thing now is seeing him on his very '1st'..his 1st smiles, 1st laugh, 1st sound..I remembered the 1st time he smiled at me, it really wiped away all my exhaustion and overwhelming feeling that I wouldn't be a good parent/mummy and how could I be responsible for this little angel? I was like attacked by the many 'what ifs' for weeks and how time flies, and now he is 8months old the chatterbox month...hahaha...

1. Moping the floor every alternate day - PASS!! Score - 8 /10

last time when he mop the floor, it was like drawing talisman but nowadays after much training..hmm..great improvement so far ...keep it up Daddy'J

2. Washing and steralising all 8 milk bottles daily - PASS!! Score - 10 /10

he MUST DEFINITELY score 10 / 10 for this chore bcos bottles have to be used by his precious son... otherwise, I will never take risk to let him incharge of this at all. I really never expect he will be so good bcos in the past when he really does washing of dishes..omg..i have to re-wash again, so you can imagine. Now, after washing all the bottles, it is non oily and super steralised as he uses traditional boiling method ...Thumbs Up for Daddy'J

3. Grocery Shopping for Baby'Jaden 10 / 10

In the past, all grocery shopping was done solely by me!!! oh, but after Lit'J arrived, I must admit I am not as good as him when come to this. Daddy'J is really very good with internet search engine. He will bother to find out from all forums discussion which store or website offers the best deal in town. He will take charge of online ordering for things like milk power lah, diapers, washing detergent, etc etc..and they just deliver to our door step...and the best thing is he will remember all the pricing well. Whereas I won't really bother about the prices and will just buy from anywhere when I need them. So conclusion, he helped to save quite a fair bit of $$$ hahaha..good lah....

4. Boiling of water - PASS!! Score - 10 / 10
how wrong can this be...hahaha...

5. Walking with FitFit - PASS!! Score - 10 / 10

Jac has been a very good dog owner. Last time we usually walk FitFit almost every nite together. Nowadays, with LIt'J, I really have no time at all for FitFit after I come home from work lor (sad lah..but no choice lah) Jac didn't neglect our beloved FitFit at all even with Jaden now. He will spend time to walk FitFit every nite, clean her bowl, clean her pee&poo, order her food, keep her bowl with fresh food and clean water and will reminds me that I should pay more attention on FitFit as she is having depression very often nowadays due to my love for her being shared with her 弟弟 Jaden... 2 Thumbs Up for you again Daddy'J

6. Handling Baby'J alone - PASS!! Score - 8 / 10

can't pick on this too much already. At least he bother to volunteer to help me. At first, I was a little over protective of Baby'J (can't blame me as I am a 1st time mummy) and I wanted to do everything by myself for him and I don't really trust that Daddy'J can handle Lit'J well all by himself . Then bcos of this, I made myself overly exerted and keep losing weight due to insufficient rest I guess. So Jac has been working very hard to learn and improve lotz. He prove to me that he can handle Lit'J even when I am not around. He will sleep with/in Lit'J room alone on some nites every week when he knows that I need to drive long distance the next day...he knows how to make milk for baby, change his diapers and most importantly, he really knows how to 哄 baby to sleep faster than me leh... what else can I say... thumbs up for you my dear 老公

7. Folding and keeping of Baby Clothes - Fail !! Score - 2 / 10

hahaha...still not good in folding clothes neatly and I think he can take initive to keep and fold the clothes when they are dry. So for this, hmm..fail this time..hope that next apprasial, you will score a PASS for this ..oki Daddy??

8. Feeding Lit'J - Pass !! Score - 5 / 10

Daddy'Jac score 5/5 for bottle feed..no problem for him at all. But he hasn't try on solid food feeding before. So KIV till next apprasial session then : ))

9. Showering Lit'J - 0 / 10

he claim is very easy to do it but hasn't got the courage to try yet...hahaha...perhaps wait till Lit'J can sit still more steadily then I will be more confident to let him try ..haha...oso KIV till next apprasial " )

10. Preparing Solid Food for Lit'J - 0 / 10

hmm...this is a too challenging task for Daddy'Jac??? Hmm...perhaps lor...cos he don't even know how to cook a proper meal for himself other than instant noodle..

Upper Central Incisors Tooth @ 7mth

His upper central incisors tooth @ 7th month....phew...no fever again this time..thank god so so much..BUT he has been trying to bite us on our arm ...can leave marks, so you can imagine how painful it is sometimes...

Yippee...all the way direct from States ..brought to us byYiyi Michelle (my god sis cum cousin, Lit'J yiyi) ..all the PRL items for Lit'J..happie happie...can't wait to wear for him now...will be very cute. And for myself, the old KS model shoulder bag, BEBE T-shirts and the old KS model long wallet for Yiyi Grace : )

I Learnt My Lesson !!!

Apple with Avocado Puree..hmm...the mix taste quite good actually...Aunty Ro shared with mummy that avocada is a good brain food for baby. So I went to bought afew at Cold Storage the next day and blend it together with a red apple. I tried and it was super tasty (added only less then 1/4 of the avocado as it is supposely alittle oily). Happily feeding him as Lit'J seeems to love it and finishes every single bit (as u can see fm the video clip). But he felt ill on that nite as he started to throw out all the milk perhaps due to 1st time taking avocado, tummy not use to it lor. This lasted for afew days...poor baby...vomited many times and we keep have to change his clothes, bedsheets, wipe the floor n cardboard etc...my poor baby..is mummy fault..must be the puree I gave...learnt my lesson, whatever new food I 1st introduce to him must go with moderation..sigh...I learnt something again this time !!!
